Sitting here in the early hours, listening to the radio station and seeing how the tracks pan out together. The early hours is a great time for thinking and remembering. The Clash are playing - one of their softer songs Lost in the supermarket seems to fit the moment.
I've been involved in music one way or another for years. I'm 56 now, I guess the proudest achievement for me was successfully bringing the 2nd wave of ska into being. The record company Skank Records, were unsure about getting on board. Yet I argued that the timing was perfect, Kids who had been underaged for the concerts in the late seventies and early eighties were now eighteen and over, a new scene would give them the opportunity to live the life they envied. It worked and venues such as the Astoria on Charring Cross road, Brixton Academy and Fridge, The George Roby in Seven Sisters road, Finsbury Park all rocked to the rythms of Ska. New pages have been added to the website, keep up to date
