"Skinhead reggae" was a term set for a period of time, 1969/71 When shorn headed youths would frequent the danse de palias and move to the riddems of reggae. The Skinhead cult was honoured by Symrip in the form of an LP that cemented the union. The album was called "Skinhead moonstomp" and asides from the title track there was the classic tribute to the female counterpart "Skinhead girl". The skinhead era was the golden days for reggae in the UK. Artists like "The Pioneers" "King Stitts & the Dynamites", Toots & the Maytels", "Desmond Dekker" all figured in the role call. Labels like Trojan, Pama, Fab forfilled the demand for produce. the Jamaican artists also came over to give concerts. the most noteable being at Wembley stadium in 1970.
