Stranglehold

The Stranglers were one of the most innovative punk bands there is. They launched on to the scene with the single - "Peaches" in 1977. With a great sounding bass and a well crafted keyboard. They carved their niche. They were originally known as "the Guildford Stranglers" before they shortened their name. The hits that established them as punk rockers, was "Something better change" and " No more heroes". I personally like the album tracks - "I feel like a wog" and "Bring on the nubiles". These two tracks sum up the times, both politically and sexually. The Stranglers are still going today and well worth a watch.
